What We Do

CDA develops new ways to support improved policies and practices within the areas of accountability and feedback loops, conflict sensitivity / Do No Harm, peacebuilding effectiveness, and responsible business. CDA’s established expertise in those areas is rooted in our completed and current collaborative learning projects and extensive advisory work. Based on tested evidence and lessons, our written products are practically useful and immediately applicable to the work of practitioners.

Each of CDA’s foundational learning projects – The Do No Harm Project, the Corporate Engagement Project, the Reflecting on Peace Practice Project, and the Listening Project – engaged hundreds and, in some cases, thousands of people, and has generated widely recognized and referenced lessons relevant to the policies and practices of international and local actors.
