CDA’s and its partners’ work has contributed significantly to a newly published volume on “Business, Peacebuilding, and Sustainable Development”, edited by Jason Miklian, Rina Aluri, and John Katsos. The volume aims to synthesize the most important current developments in the literatures on business operations in fragile and conflict affected states. CDA’s Ben Miller and Sarah Cechvala wrote a chapter for the volume in which they reflect on practical challenges faced by company staff in the field and the implications that those challenges have for the larger question of corporate peacebuilding. Brian Ganson also contributed to the volume. Brian’s chapter was a revised version of a paper he developed as part of the “Business and Peace” learning project, which concluded in December, 2018.
